But, I think you can see enough to tell me about the "error" You can see on the left side of the coin some missing lettering, also on the left side,the coin is only about 3/4 the thickness of a normal quarter. Updated 04/29/20 James Bucki. It was a special change to the law, to mint enough coins to replace the silver dimes and quarters that were being withdrawn. it is post mint damage.
