Knowing that the hotel is owned and run by descendants of the famous Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg is nice, with all the musical memorabilia found in the hotel.
Britt Marie, who manages the hotel along with her husband, was extremely friendly and helpful in guiding us to what we should do while in Bergen. We are thrilled that you had a fantastic stay. The building with its many decorative details was designed by architect Herman Schirmer and later extended twice. We are still in the Covid-19 period, it really hurts for the hospitality business. Yes, paid public parking nearby and valet parking are available to guests.Conveniently located restaurants include Daily Pot, Bare, and Restaurant 1877.Yes, guests have access to a fitness center during their stay. Xhibition Mall and Torget Fishmarket are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Festplassen and Nygard Park. During COVID they are doing table service for breakfast which we really appreciated. Where the breakfast team meet you with a big smile and warm welcome. Your feedback will be hugely encouraging for the team. The breakfast was also delicious.
