All in all a great day out for inspiring fire fighters. The highlight was the kids zone- kids can dress up and drive a fire engine simulator. I think everyone of all ages should be visiting this place as it is not only interesting but makes us realise the importance of keeping our fire rescue services funded and alive.
I took them as part of our monthly day trip and received great feedback. The staff were the sweetest, chatting to him and giving him a card to match pictures with the exhibits. Parking is close by, free, the entry fee for the museum is very reasonable - $12 per adult (correct as at October 2019) and there are picnic tables outside to have lunch. Once we found the correct entry and went inside we enjoyed the exhibits and the film of trainees probably from the 70s or 80s, but actually produced in 1995. Entrance fee is not outrageous.
