My 3 year old walked the whole trail with no problem and enjoyed it just as much as I did. We loved the boardwalk and even saw 2 pileated woodpeckers. Bugs weren’t too bad and it’s end of June. Overall a nice trail that will take an hour to do if all legs are chosen. There's educational signs that go over "nature" things about the wildlife in the area. Have seen raccoons and other wildlife. A little too close to apartments & shopping mall at several points which was kinda off-putting, but overall more secluded than anticipated. Nice views to the east but the saddle is covered in thick growth. The last 2.5 miles to the saddle is much harder. Also you can hear all the street noises and sirens. It’s also 9 miles round trip, not the 7 Alltrails claims it to be. Length 5.6 … After approximately four miles, the Miller Creek Trail intersects with the Rincon Peak Trail, from here, you can return the same way you came in or continue on to the top of Rincon Peak. From the parking area immediately pass through a gate and travel along fairly level ground as you start to enter the canyon. The trails at the Miller Creek Natural area pass through a former Red Pine plantation, skirt the edges of open meadows, wind through beautiful beech forests, cross boardwalks though cedar swamps, and follow Miller Creek, a tributary of the Boardman River. With the airport runway expansion, the residential land use became incompatible with airport operations. The Miller Creek Trail is an important connector trail. Pretty in spring when the river is flowing strong.

Watch out for that steep hill at the start — it’ll give your legs and glutes a good workout! Wasn’t so sure about the trail being behind a shopping center, but the hike itself was overall OK.Nice trail, not well marked. My son had fun" No views of Vail or Rincon valley as I’d hoped. Large boulders, loose rocks, and roots are just some of the obstacles along the trail. Perfect.
The trail is primarily used for hiking. The Miller Creek Trail is a part of the Arizona National Scenic Trail. I took my 2 and 3 year old with my on this hike, and it had some stretches I had to carry them through, due to some small drop off points with no rail. Nice trail with low traffic, some trash scattered on the trail though. There is a giant mud part of trail after it rains, but you can typically walk on the edge of the trail and not be effected too much. Miller Creek walking trail, a 1 km loop, winds through a small corner of Miller Creek Wildlife Area, classified as a provincially significant wetland. Great trail, shaded and nice.
