Happy anniversary Kara and Ben! I am a very Type A person, and she was so organized, always responding to my emails within hours, answering any and all of my questions, and going above and beyond and match our vision of what we wanted our reception to be! Regardless of this, TCA helped my husband and I create the perfect reception and one unforgettable night!! The decorations were beautiful and tasteful and the whole night ran so smoothly! I absolutely loved every minute of our reception with the help of Ann. And I don't say that to make less of my city; I love Columbus. The Athenaeum is a truly remarkable place. She is right on top of things and has suggestions as well.
The bartenders were amazing and our guests loved the photo booth! The food tasting was delicious and plan on the wedding dinner to be just as delicious! This fact is good to know beforehand, so if you are visiting other places in the area, I would go to Athenaeum last when you are ready to make a decision.The ultimate evening out includes axe throwing. They each were very responsive via email and helped us as we planned a wedding from out of town. I loved that the cocktail hour is in the balcony to oversee the ballroom.
We held our reception in the Olympian Ballroom it was everything we could have hoped for and more!
All of my guests were ranting and raving about he food and still almost a month later are taking about it. So pretty. Very responsive and accommodating - good at setting expectations and sets a very high bar! Columbus Athenaeum Olympian Ballroom. Our reception was absolutely stunning – our guests could not stop telling us how beautiful the ballroom looked! I was planning our wedding from Pittsburgh so I did t have the opportunity to get back there that often but they always accommodated my schedule. The staff are all kind, and easy to work with.
I think the biggest thing for me was that the wonderful staff and venue takes care of most everything. Lori has been a pleasure to work with. They were very helpful with the planning our perfect night. But I can vouch that the Athenaeum is an amazing venue, and hAs amazing people working for them.Very cool venue. We received so many compliments on the venue and the food. I knew what I wanted: a vintage inspired wedding in the large theatre, drooping romantic flowers, and stellar food. Our coordinator was Jackie and she was fantastic! Loved loved loved The Columbus Athenaeum! It was in the small theatre on the 4th floor. We loved that they set up all our decorations.
